Mum’s Sticky Gingerbread
It’s no secret that Mum isn’t really drawn to the kitchen. Nevertheless, she’s got a real talent at just about everything and cooking/baking is no exception. This gingerbread recipe is one of her baking weapons and proof that simple is often best. It’s spiked with warming gingery spice, super sticky, and wonderfully comforting, but also light, and it keeps well for days. It’s the perfect bake for this time of year, I like it cold but you can also serve it as a pudding, make a toffee sauce and grab some fresh cream and you have yourself a wicked dessert.
